From 1977-1989, Sandy served as secretary to the chairman of the Northfield (NJ) Board of Education. Relocating with her husband, George, and their two children to Millville, Sandy worked for the Board of Education fulltime from 1989-93. While there, she honed the skills which would well serve her husband’s new agency.
By 1993, it was readily apparent to George that he could no longer handle design, layout, correspondence, filing, media placement, vendor coordination, and billing—all on his own. Searching for a talented partner, he needed to look no further than Sandy.
Sandy has aggressively expanded her role within the Graphicus organization. While she continues to manage the office and its staff, she has, since 1994, coordinated our clients’ special events, such as the bi-annual Ocean Yachts Owners Rendezvous and the annual Ocean Yachts and Silverton Marine Dealer Meetings.
With operating budgets ranging from $40,000 to $130,000 for an event, there is much to manage. From inception through on-site direction, Sandy spends countless hours planning menus and guest activities, auditioning and hiring talent (from steel bands to magicians), overseeing accommodations for guests and their boats.
She is the principal liaison between our clients, their guests, and the facilities where the events take place (from Trump Marina in Atlantic City to The World Golf Village in St. Augustine to El Conquistador in Puerto Rico).
Outside of office hours (which have been known to stretch well into the night), Sandy finds time for family, friends, and her local church.
