Denise Walter
Traffic Coordinator
Denise Walter joined the agency in the spring of 2005, relocating from Hanover, VA, with husband Eric to contribute her particular talents for organization to the family business. Denise held a position in the IT department of Capital One in the Richmond area – a position with varied functions, all of which were concerned with operational efficiency and accountability. During her four years with the credit card giant, she served as a project coordinator, problem management specialist, and a process analyst. She was responsible to IT management for the coordination of maintenance actions to restore deficiencies or interruptions in service. She was also charged with the evaluation of methodologies within the organization to determine how they might be improved to the benefit of the company and its customers.
This intensive experience as a liaison mediating among the many employees comprising Capital One’s IT department, the streamlining of business systems, and the production of reports on the cost and personnel impact of service “outages” prepared Denise well for her position as Graphicus traffic coordinator. Her task is to track each of the hundreds of projects, active within the agency at any one time, through the many stages of production – inside the agency, at suppliers and clients. Her ability to develop tracking and reporting systems is essential to the ultimate on-time and on-budget delivery of completed work to our clients.
In her first six weeks with Graphicus, Denise organized our project tracking system, consolidating several document generation practices, and instituted a weekly online project status report to our clients.
Denise was graduated in 1992 by Old Dominion University, Virginia, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She and Eric have three young children: Hayden, Karlie, and Addison. She enjoys soft ball and being in the company of her family.
